Mechanical engineering plays a crucial role in the innovation and development of medical devices. It enhances patient care, surgical outcomes, customizability, and more. This mini-symposium aims to enable in-depth knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and exploration of cutting-edge topics. The topics include, but are not limited to, the design and optimization of implants or orthotics, the development of minimally invasive surgical instruments, the integration of smart materials and nanotechnology in medical devices, and advanced manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing and AI-assisted systems. Discussions will highlight the importance of precision engineering, biomechanics, and material science in creating devices or treatments that are not only functional and reliable but also safe and comfortable for patients. This mini-symposium is ideal for mechanical engineers, biomedical engineers, medical practitioners, and researchers who are passionate about advancing medical technology and improving patient outcomes through engineering solutions.
